Its amazing that one can enter a far away
world with one step. When stepping into the Royal Falconer
British Pub, you instantly realize that you are stepping
into a bit of England. The dark décor, long and stately
bar, and British memorabilia makes for a welcoming place
to meet and be with friends. There are booths available
for couples or larger gathering of friends. And there are
plenty of seats along the traditional bar for making new
friends.
If you are in the mood for only a beverage
and conversation, there are appetizers to nibble on as you
visit. The house specialty is Bahvosk, which is a 15"
crisp American cracker bread covered with Jack cheese and
house salsa. There are a variety of toppings, prices range
from $8.25 - $9.75. You can also choose from the traditional
Scottish Eggs to other standards such as Falcon Hot Wings,
Falcon Talons, Irish Nachos, Zucchini strips, Basket of
Fries and Falcon Medley with a price range of $3.95 to $7.50.
Like youd expect, they have plenty of fine beers from
around the world. There are 20 different beers on tap and
another 30 varieties in bottles. They have a beer for every
taste and weather, from the darker to the lighter Pilsners.
Wine and non-alcoholic beverages are also available.
If you are looking for traditional British
meals you have come to the right place. Their fares include:
Bangers and Mash, Cornish Pasty, Steak and Kidney Pie, Shepards
Pie and, of course, Fish and Chips these range in
price from $8.65 - $8.95. Some other entrees include: Wiener
schnitzel, Teriyaki chicken, Broiled Alaskan Crab and, another
specialty, the Falconer Four Pepper steak, costing between
$8.50 and $10.95. Being here in Redlands, they also serve
the more American types of sandwiches and hamburgers for
$6.25 - $6.95. Their meal portions tend to be generous.
If you are looking for a little more activity
with your beverage and conversation, dont over look
the upstairs with its 2 pool tables and 2 dartboards. The
service is casual but very friendly. Patrons can utilize
the public parking on State Street or across Redlands Blvd.
at the Mall.
So if you desire conversation with friends,
a bit of flavor from across the ocean and variety, its
no further than a step away at the Royal Falconer British
Pub.
