 "What
a Combo"
Baker's Burgers has combination meals for
hamburgers and burritos that fit just about every pocketbook
and taste. At the same time keeping with standards that
are reminiscent of the old-fashioned, small town burger
hangout. Just as I remembered as a kid, Baker's double wrap
their burgers: first in that white folded paper, so that
you don't spill out the back end of the sandwich as you
eat it, and then its put in the "regular" paper
wrapper. They, also, make their milk shakes with real ice
cream!
While their menus aren't extensive, mostly
combinations of burgers, burritos and fries, they are offering
a great deal of choices. They open for breakfast at 6:00
a.m. with a variety of traditional breakfast burritos and
egg sandwiches (they serve their breakfast menu until 11:00
a.m.). These range in prices from $1.79 to $2.49. For the
breakfast on the "run", one can use their drive-thru
window.
The lunches and dinners are the same - their
combinations. You can start with the Super Baker Meal for
$4.89 and work your way down the various sizes. This combo
offers the choice of either the Double Baker Burger or Big
Burrito, plus a half-pound of fries, plus a 44 oz. soft
drink. At the other end of the combos is the budget meal
for $2.69, which you'll get a hamburger or burrito, small
order of fries and a 16 oz. soft drink. For $2.29, they
have nine different selections including: tacos, hamburgers,
quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches, etc.
This restaurant is very children friendly,
including the 4 arcade games. Since starting in 1952, Baker's
Burgers has mastered the art of quick service with old-fashioned
standards. However, in keeping up with the times, Baker's
